The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in concert

FEBRUARY

REQUIEM is a world premiere work from one of the country’s most acclaimed composers, Sir John Tavener.

Commissioned by the Culture Company, it is aimed to reconcile the world’s warring religions through music.

Performed by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir at the Metropolitan Cathedral on February 28, it features four groups representing Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism and Islam.
