Construction is now underway on Liverpool2, the £300m project by Peel Ports that will allow the Port of Liverpool to compete with the biggest ports in the world.The new terminal in the Mersey at Seaforth will be able to handle “post-Panamax” vessels – ships that carry up to 13,500 containers and are too big to fit through the Panama Canal.
