Sefton

Stretching from Bootle in the south to the traditional seaside resort of Southport in the north – and inland to Maghull – Sefton’s 22-mile-long coastline boasts some of Merseyside’s best beaches. Crosby is home to Anthony Gormley’s Another Place – 100 life-sized iron men looking out to sea. Celebrated golf course Royal Birkdale has hosted the Open and Aintree is the home of the world-famous Grand National. Sefton’s celebrated sons and daughters include Soft Cell singer Marc Almond and comedian Lee Mack.
