Shaun Woodward MP

Labour Shaun Woodward has been the Labour MP for St Helens South since 2001. He served in the Cabinet from June 2007 to May 2010 as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and was the Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland until 7 October 2011. A former TV researcher and producer who worked on consumer and current affairs programme That's Life! Woodward began his political career in the Conservative Party but famously defected to Labour in 1999.
