Top business people help launch Prince’s Trust group

THE Prince’s Trust has launched its first Regional Leadership Group in the North West.

The pioneering club has signed up some of the most influential business leaders from across the region to help improve the life chances of young people.

The group was founded by Andrew Donaldson, chief executive of Big Storage, Martin Ainscough, chairman of Ainscough Group, and Chris Allen, chief executive of LateRooms.com.

Over 150 business people attended the inaugural event held at Haydock racecourse including entrepreneurs such as Steve Morgan, Martin Rayner of Lakeland and other top executives.

Annual membership costs between £3,000 and £10,000.

Mr Donaldson, who is the group’s chairman and who started up what is today a multi-million pound enterprise with a £2,000 grant from The Prince’s Trust, said: “Inspired, challenged and humbled were all words used tonight to describe this launch. We’ve witnessed a long list of the region’s best business brains come together, united in their vision to use their privileged positions to give something back to disadvantaged young people seeking support from the extraordinary Prince’s Trust.”

Last year, the charity started up and supported 767 people in business.
