A HEAT-GENERATING wind turbine was the star attraction of the quarterly Dreamcatchers forum at Liverpool Science Park.
Dreamcatchers gives budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to present to local business angels in a bid to get backing for their ideas.
Steve Sealey, from event sponsors North West Seed Fund said: “Dreamcatchers is not just about investment. It is also about providing new businesses with support in all areas of their business planning, from coaching to marketing.”
The heat-generating wind turbine captured the attention of the delegates as inventor Doug Nangle of Carbon Zero demonstrated his new product to the audience.
Amongst the line up of businesses were: Chimatica, which has produced advanced technology to achieve optimum drug screening avoiding testing on humans and animals, Opticare, which is already trialling its software with local authorities offering enhanced planning for home care services, and Pariah State, which supplies and manages music download website stores.
