Record £119.2m turnover for freight specialist

FREIGHT specialist RH Group has reported a record turnover of £119.2m for the year to December last year.

The figure represents an increase of 32% on the previous year’s turnover of £90.6m.

Operating profit on existing operations rose slightly from £4m to £4.05m. The company, which employs 30 staff at its warehousing base at the Port of Liverpool, acquired Hacklin Roadtrans to add its network of European and international partnerships to that of Oy RH Freight in Finland. One-off costs arising from the merger were £365,000. Overall gross profit grew by 13% to £27.7m.

Last year the company established new partnerships with freight operators in countries such as Switzerland, Austria, Bulgaria and Romania. RH now has a network of 39 independent partners and runs direct services to 74 hubs.
