LIVERPOOL builder Rok has started work on the first phase of the 800,000sq ft Atlantic Park mixed-use business park, in Bootle.
Rok will construct the 50,000sq ft Grade A office building on the Dunningsbridge Road site, which will see disused land regenerated into north Liverpool’s first mixed-use business park.
Work is now under way with pilings completed, groundworks ongoing and the erection of the steel frame soon to begin. Rok is acting on behalf of site-owners Royal London Asset Management.
The office building will provide a frontage to the mixed-use scheme, which will also include trade counter and industrial space when it is completed in spring 2008.
Nigel Lax of Industrial Securities, the development managers for Atlantic Park, said: “North Liverpool has an established industrial and commercial base but has lacked Grade A office space of the type we’re developing.”
