LIVERPOOL web development firm Mando Group has designed a website for the city’s new waterfront arena.
The Arena and Convention Centre (ACC), which will open in January with the launch event for Liverpool’s Capital of Culture year, is a key element in the regeneration of the city’s waterfront.
It will include a 1,350-seat auditorium, up to 7,000sq m of exhibition space and the 10,600-capacity Liverpool Echo Arena.
The venue’s new website includes an animated walkthrough of the arena and its conference rooms, and ACC bosses hope it will help attract conferences to the complex.
ACC’s head of marketing Emma Blackman said: “The website coincided with the launch of our box office and the first tickets going on sale at the Echo Arena.
“The demand for tickets for several events has been very high and we've been delighted with the website's ability to handle this.
“Mando Group’s emphasis on usability means we know we have a site that will engage with all of our audience.”
Martin Chapman Fromm, head of design at Mando Group, said: “Working with such a dynamic venture and enthused clients and developers ensured that at every step of the process, the work was treated as a team effort.
“We now look forward to the opening in January 2008 and will continue working with ACC in the future.”
