Engineering firm’s move gives boost to local market

BROMBOROUGH has received a significant boost to its growing industry market thanks to the arrival of a leading engineering, design, construction and maintenance company.
Establishing its first base in the North West, Shaw Group has invested in 50,000 sq ft of new premises at Wirral International Business Park on Thermal Road.
The new base will allow the company to deliver on the significant number of new contracts it has secured in the region, and allows for further expansion of its successful team.
The site was formerly occupied by McTay Engineering and the new letting was handled by Jonathan Thorne, associate director in CB Richard Ellis’s industrial agency in the North West.
Mr Thorne said: “The Wirral has become an increasingly popular location for businesses because of its good accessibility, its skill base, and proximity to industry.
“The complex at Thermal Road was ideal for Shaw Group, combining high bay engineering spaces with cranes, office facilities and external yard space all on a secure self-contained site.”
