Rogers starts her TMP job

THE new chief executive of investment agency The Mersey Partnership has started work.

Tranmere Rovers chairman Lorraine Rogers had been due to start at TMP earlier this month but, as reported in the Daily Post, it emerged she had yet to agree terms with the organisation and her start was delayed.

The negotiations were understood to centre on how she divided her time between TMP and the football club.

But in the club’s matchday programme at the weekend she told Rovers fans she was relinquishing her day-to-day responsibilities at the club and would become non-executive chairman.

TMP confirmed Ms Rogers started her new job yesterday.

The partnership has the lead responsibility for inward investment and tourism.
