SCIENTIST Dr Angie Winnington has quit her job with the NHS in the South West and has come to Cheshire to set up her own specialist clinic in Appleton, Warrington.
The Cheshire Skin Clinic specialises in clinical treatments for the skin, hair and body using medical and cosmetic equipment from the largest manufacturer of pulsed light systems in the world.
Dr Winnington has worked as a scientist for many years, and is confident that the knowledge she has gained will help her clients who are troubled by conditions such as thread veins, spider naevi and cherry spots, fine lines, wrinkles and visible pores, unwanted hair, acne and acne scarring and a variety of other treatments including body treatments for skin tightening, cellulite reduction and muscle strain management.
Dr Winnington is so knowledgeable regarding the use of Variable Pulsed Light equipment that, in her previous role, she wrote the instruc- tion manual for the equipment she has purchased for the clinic with the help of £20,000 funding from NatWest and her own personal contribution.
The decision to relocate to Cheshire was an easy one for Dr Winnington, as she is a former pupil of Sir John Deanes VI Form College, in Northwich.
She said: “I know that the service I am offering is much specialised and is fulfilling a gap in the market locally.
“In other parts of the country, many of the treatments I offer are available on the NHS but unfortunately that is not the case in the North West.”
