Another city restaurant joins entrepreneurs’ delivery service

A CITY centre Indian restaurant has become the latest to sign up to a new delivery service launched by two entrepreneurs.

Mayur, the Duke Street Indian restaurant, is the sixth Liverpool restaurant to sign up with Waiter 2U.

Waiter 2U allows diners to place online or telephone orders for home-delivered takeaway food from their favourite restaurants.

Its other partner restaurants include Casa Italia and Algarve, in Stanley Street, city centre, and Eureka Greek restaurant, in Myrtle Street. The company can also deliver food from other non-partner restaurants for an extra charge.

Waiter 2U was founded two months ago by Zack Mohamed and Kelly Chapman. Mr Mohamed said: “We saw similar delivery services set up in Florida and also in the UK, in Brighton, and realised it would work extremely well in Liverpool,”

Arif Mashood, manager and co-owner of Mayur, said: “Providing a takeaway service has been part of our plan for a while, especially as we have a high number of our customers asking if it’s available.”
