A KNOWSLEY-BASED printing firm has invested £350,000 in new machinery to help expansion plans.
Northern Print’s new high-definition, wide format printer is the first of its type in Liverpool and will allow the firm to compete at the top end of the commercial print market.
The £250,000 Vutek printer and £100,000 cutting machine have been imported from the United States and Switzerland.
The new equipment, bought with finance provided by Yorkshire Bank, will enable Northern Print to produce a much wider range of print under one roof.
Set up eight years ago by husband and wife team Richard and Jill Parker, Northern Print now employs 16 full time staff. The company has relocated to new premises at Alchemy Business Park to cater for its current and future expansion plans.
Mr Parker said: “This machine is an unbelievable piece of kit.
“This signals a rebirth of the company.”
