DOES the firm you work for deserve recognition for its achievements in the past year?
If so, the Daily Post’s search for this year’s crop of award-winning businesses is in full swing.
Today, we are featuring the Medium Business of the Year, sponsored by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank; and International Trader of the Year, sponsored by Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.
The Medium Business category is open to businesses that can demonstrate outstanding performance and which employ between 51 and 250 people.
Judges are looking for evidence of specific business achievements and strong financial performance.
Sponsor A&L Commercial Bank said: “Small and medium-sized businesses are the life blood of the economy and Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank is proud to be sponsoring the Liverpool Daily Post’s Regional Business Awards Medium Business of the Year Award.
“Our Merseyside Business Centre based at The Plaza, Old Hall Street, in Liverpool city centre, offers a full banking service and a greater level of support for the bank’s existing and new business customers in the region. The Bank’s team of business banking managers provide a full relationship service and great value products, tailored to the sophisticated financial needs of small to medium sized businesses.”
The International Trader of the Year category, sponsored by Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, is for companies that can demonstrate a substantial and sustained increase in export activity relative to the size of the company over the past 12 month. The judges will seek evidence of the barriers that have been overcome and the degree to which the overseas trade has benefited the region’s economy.
A Chamber spokesman said: “With more than 150 years history of supporting global trade, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce has developed a wide range of services benefiting from its global network of partners and contacts.
“The International Trade Centre of the Chamber is a one-stop-shop of international business support for the whole of Merseyside covering Export Documentations, Market Research, Financial Support of European Objective 1 programme, International Business Training, Overseas Trade Missions, Inward Mission programme and International Seminars & Events programme.”
