BUILDIN6G firm Rok has begun work on an £8.6m sixth form centre for Sefton Council.
The two-storey building in Moss Lane in Netherton will provide a learning facility for 16-18-year olds in nearby Bootle, Litherland and Netherton.
The facility will include accommodation for arts, sciences, performing arts and ICT. In addition, a new Learning Resource Centre will provide research and study facilities.
There will also be smaller tutorial rooms and chaplaincy facilities.
A four-court sports hall, outdoor pitch and land- scaped external environment will complement the curriculum facilities.
