THERE are just two weeks left to enter the 2008 Daily Post Regional Business Awards.
There are nine awards, including small business, cultural engagement and business person of the year which will recognise the very best in Merseyside and Cheshire business.
The winners will be presented with their awards at a glittering black-tie dinner hosted by Peter Sissons at St George’s Hall, Liverpool on Thursday, July 16.
The annual awards have been running since 1992 and have always sought to recognise the best work of our businesses, whether they are a sole trader or a locally-based multi-national. The event represents a great opportunity for businesses of all types, age and size to gain much deserved recognition from their local community for all that they have done to create jobs and local prosperity in front of an audience of 500 business people.
This year the Capital of Culture celebrations have offered opportunities to businesses, but also the culmination of huge public and private sector investment in the run up to this year has benefited business. Our region, which has always been confident and enterprising, has continued to grow in stature. We are looking for the firms that are bringing their own confident entrepreneurial flair to the creation of a thriving local economy.
The awards are open to any business operating in the Daily Post circulation area of Merseyside, West Lancashire (including Skelmersdale and Orm-skirk) and NW Cheshire (including Chester, Runcorn, Widnes and Warrington).
The judging panel will include Daily Post business editor Bill Gleeson and representatives of our three main sponsors.
If you want to be a part of this year’s event now is the time to enter for one or more of our nine awards. For details on all categories and an entry form visit www.liverpooldaily post.co.uk/rba or call 0151 472 2805. Deadline is Friday, May 16.
