This can include firm that give time or money to charities or the volun-tary sector. University vice-chancellor Professor Drummond Bone said: “The University of Liverpool is an integral part of the local community and a major investor in the region. We believe strongly in corporate social responsibility and it’s rewarding to sponsor an award that recognises the important contributions of local organisations.’’
