Company wins right to name stadium

ST HELENS-BASED firm GPW Recruitment will have its name emblazoned on the town’s Rugby League ground after securing the naming rights.
The 2½-year deal for an undisclosed six-figure sum, described as “a very substantial and significant sum”, will see Knowsley Road renamed The GPW Recruitment Stadium.
GPW Recruitment was founded in 1973, and now employs more than 40 staff at its town centre site.
Its clients include Pilkington, Rolls-Royce and Procter and Gamble.
The recruitment consultancy’s managing director, Graham Worsley, said: “To be in partnership with Saints is to be associated with the best in the world and with a brand which is recognised by the majority of people throughout the North West.
“We have the first option for the naming rights to the new stadium.
“I really wanted the new stadium but it was taking too long.”
