Cains to appoint new director

CAINS is looking to expand its management team as it plans the overhaul of its pub estate.

The Stanhope Street-based brewer is hunting for a director of retail to oversee the development of its 100-strong pub estate and the roll out of its refurbishment programme.

The new director will report to Sudarghara Dusanj, Cains’ chief executive.

Cains acquired most of its pubs as part of its reverse takeover of Honeycombe Leisure last year. Its estate stretches from its Lancashire heartland to Mid-Wales, Cumbria and Yorkshire.

Mr Dusanj said: “Our pub estate has great potential to drive further sales of Cains’ craft beers, and we’re looking for an experienced director to help us achieve our goals.

“The retail director will take a lead role in maximising returns from our investment in pub improvements.

“The appointment is an important step in our ambition to become Britain’s favourite beer company.”
