A TEAM of eight cyclists from the Liverpool office of IT consultancy Bluefin headed off on a three-day journey to London yesterday, to raise £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The “Bluefinian” team, comprising eight cyclists and a support driver, will cycle the 265-mile distance between its Liverpool base in Old Hall Street and its London headquarters in Kew.
The designated route takes them from Liverpool, down to Shrewsbury, towards Oxford, and into London on the Western approach. For further route details, visit www. mapmyride.com – click on “Search for Rides” and type in “Bluefin”.
The team was given an enthusiastic send-off by colleagues yesterday morning.
In March, the firm said its Liverpool operation, set up just a year-and-a-half ago, was on course to generate up to £3m in annual revenues.
It employs more than 20 people in the Plaza office complex – its first regional office.
The client list includes Unilever, Network Rail, Yell and BAe.
