WARRINGTON developer Marshall CDP has bought a 16-acre site at the westbound Burtonwood service station, on the M62, from Welcome Break.
Contracts have been ex- changed for the sale, which is for an undisclos- ed sum. Knight Frank’s team in Manchester acted for Marshall CDP.
The firm has been named by Warrington Council as the most active developer in the town over the last 10 years.
The site extends to around 16 acres, and planning permission has been granted for employment uses, a hotel and public house. The westbound services at Burtonwood became surplus to requirements following the opening of Junction 8 on the M62, which means that the eastbound services can now be accessed by both carriageways of the M62. This work will be completed by July, 2008.
