Jobs lost at pet firm

A COMPANY specialising in the design, creation and production of pet products has gone into administration with the loss of 19 jobs.

Harry Irving & Co operates from a 65,000 sq ft premises in Bootle and has an annual turnover of £6.6m.

Paul Flint and Brian Green from KPMG in Manchester have been appointed as administrators and are hoping to sell the business as a going concern.

They have been forced to make 19 people redundant out of a workforce of 24.

Mr Flint said: “We have already spoken to a number of parties each with a view to a potential deal.”
