Energy checks for free at HUB

GROUNDWORK Merseyside is to launch free waste and energy audits for businesses at the LDP Business HUB next Tuesday.
The environment charity has a business support programme which it believes can save firms thousands while reducing their impact on the environment.
Derek Robertson, chief executive of Groundwork Merseyside, said: “The cost of raw materials and fuel is growing dramatically as they become scarce and demand grows.
“Our free support for businesses should provide the impetus to act now, in order to minimise the effect on both productivity and profitability.”
Groundwork Merseyside's business environment support team on stand 51 will show businesses how to increase efficienc.
Other exhibitors include phone giant 02, Liverpool hotel Britannia Adelphi, the Health and Safety Executive and Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.
The LDP Business Hub 2008 takes place at the Echo Arena, Liverpool next Tuesday and Wednesday.
