A WIRRAL estate agency chain is to close two branches.
Beresford Adams will close two offices, but four more have been saved after a deal to sell them to a rival.
Beresford Adams wanted to offload all six offices, but was only able to sell four after talks with Bradshaw, Farnham and Lea. Negotiator Paul Lea said: “Beresford Adams has a good product, but they have not been able to crack Wirral.
“With our brand and local expertise, we think this is a great way to grow our business despite difficult market conditions.
"We are only taking over Moreton, Prenton, Bebington and Bromborough because the other two remaining offices already fall within our existing footprint.”
Most of the 28 staff are being retained, while Beresford owner Countrywide Properties is trying to find positions for the remainder.
