City is placed 12th on global index

RESEARCH published by property consultancy, CB Richard Ellis, has revealed Liverpool has continued to buck trends, becoming one of the world’s fastest- growing office markets in the past 12 months.

CBRE’s Global Markets rent survey, which assesses the costs of occupying office space worldwide, put Liverpool in 12th place in its Global 50 Index.

Between May, 2007, and May, 2008, rents in the city have risen by 30%, taking the average headline rate for office space to £22.50 per sq ft.

This puts Liverpool’s growth ahead of other economic powerhouses such as Midtown New York and London’s West End, where rents rose 22.7% and 22.5% respectively.
