MUSIC impresario Pete Waterman will be speaking at the Liverpool Daily Post Regional Business Awards next month.
It was Mr Waterman’s company that brought together the iconic 80s pop production team Stock Aitken Waterman, which was responsible for the success of Kylie Minogue, Bananarama, Newton-le-Willows’ Rick Astley and many others.
He claims sales of £500m worldwide, and his acts have had 22 UK number one singles. He was also a judge on two series of television talent contest Pop Idol.
The black-tie dinner at Liverpool’s St George’s Hall will be hosted by Liverpudlian broadcaster Peter Sissons.
The annual awards, sponsored by Alliance & Leicester, KPMG and DLA Piper, are now in their 17th year, and are firmly established as the region’s leading business event.
There are nine awards, including small business, cultural engagement and business person of the year which will recognise the very best in Merseyside and Cheshire business.
