The world applauds company’s latest advertising campaign

SPEKE-BASED home shopping company Shop Direct’s £4m advertising campaign is being lauded after it was recognised as the second-best advert in the world by advertising experts.

LittlewoodsDirect.com’s new Island advert has been highlighted by industry website, adforum.com, which is visited by more than 450,000 people from across the world every month.

The 40-second advert, which was filmed in Brazil, is second only to Coke’s Unity advert.

David Inglis, Shop Direct’s trading director, said: “This is further evidence that the investment we are putting into building the LittlewoodsDirect.com brand is paying dividends. It’s always pleasing to get recognition from one’s peers and I’m pleased for everyone who worked hard on creating the latest campaign.”

The advert is part of an eight-week campaign which is a key part of Shop Direct’s £16m investment in advertising.
