Switching on to art project

CREATIVE agency Switch says its typographical art project, Letterpool, has been attracting media interest from around the UK.

Letterpool, featured in the Daily Post in July, is a project to collect images of great Liverpool typography whether on signs, buildings or works of art.

Organisers are encouraging amateur photographers to send in their images via website www. letterpool.com

The project has been featured on Channel 4 and publications including METRO and .NET Magazine.

Switch managing director Chris Evans said: “Letterpool is a real reflection of the level of creativity at large in the city.

“It’s great to involve the public in such an art event.

“We have received entries every day since the project conception two months ago, and plans for the exhibition and book publishing are well under way.’’
