ONE of the leading figures in Liverpool’s corporate banking sector has been poached by a top Merseyside law firm.
Bill Doherty, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, has been with Royal Bank of Scotland/NatWest for 34 years and is currently director of commercial banking in Liverpool.
Now he is to join Hill Dickinson in November as the law firm’s business development and marketing director. His son Liam is also joining the practice as a trainee solicitor.
At Hill Dickinson, Mr Doherty Snr will be responsible for driving forward business development and marketing activity, employing his performance management skills in the directorship of a 21-strong team.
He will be based in Hill Dickinson’s headquarters at St Paul’s Square in Liverpool but will head business development and marketing across the firm.
Hill Dickinson managing partner Peter Jackson said: “We look forward to welcoming both Dohertys on board.”
