Graduates win city accountancy firm opportunities
ACCOUNTANCY firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has appointed new graduates within its Liverpool office.
The company has recruited eight graduates on the back of its strong record of 8% growth in turnover last year.
The graduates will study for the Chartered Account-ancy qualification and will start their careers in the firm’s assurance department.
Brian Clark, Liverpool office senior partner, said: “Thanks to the efforts of our staff, we have achieved another year of significant growth, despite a challenging economic climate.
“Although uncertain econ-omic conditions look set to continue for at least the short to medium term, in tough conditions we have the experience to support clients and navigate our own busi-ness through the challenges of a difficult market.
“We see particular opportunity in providing advisory services to the public sector, UK corporate, mid tier and entrepreneurial private companies.”
For the year ending June 30, 2008, the Princes Parade office grew turnover to over £115m, and has almost 100 staff.
