ONE of the UK’s largest online retailer has launched a new brand.
Shop Direct Group has launched individual sections on their websites for ten brands, Adidas, Animal, Bench, Hotpoint, Mamas and Papas, Miss Sixty, Nike, Phillips, Sony and Timerland.
The brands, which each have their own high-street stores, are accessible from the homepage of Shop Direct’s nine websites such as Littlewoods Direct.com
The online brand store concept provides a greater brand focus for customers and improved “shopability”.
Each brand store has been developed in conjunction with the brand and uses bespoke design, photography, and navigation.
The move will also see additional benefits, including improved search engine optimisation and affiliate marketing opportunities.
David Inglis, group trading director, said: “I’m really excited by the potential of the brand store concept. As well as the benefits to customers, it has a number of business benefits, not least improved revenue generation and brand partnerships.
“This idea is a further example of our move to become the UK’s leading online retailer.”
The websites went live two weeks ago, and have already had a positive impact on sales. Shop Direct Group is based at a former aircraft hangar in Speke, south Liverpool.
