Top speakers booked for BT Centre’s two major business conferences
LIVERPOOL’S BT Convention Centre is hosting two major business conferences today and tomorrow.
Leading figures, including former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, will be speaking at the events.
He will address an expected audience of about 1,000 senior exec- utives by video link at the Bench- mark for Business “Transforming the Future” international management summit.
Other speakers at the two-day event will include Pilkington chief executive Stuart Chambers and Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy.
And, on Thurs-day, the one-day Think Business . . . Think India event will take plac, with Trade and Investment Minister Lord Digby Jones as the main speaker.
During that event local firms will be urged to think of India as the next emerging economic hot-spot.
The internat- ional management summit came about after Stuart Chambers promised to bring top commentators to Liverpool in its Capital of Culture year.
