Business experts have joined forces to launch The Sounding Board in Liverpool.
Corporate financier Steve Stuart and The Royal Bank of Scotland's ("RBS") Director of Commercial Banking, Bill Doherty came up with the idea to encourage wealth creation.
A number of key 'movers and shakers' with a successful track record in deal doing met recently and between them developed a plan, that they think will help stimulate activity across the wider business community.
The group wants to harness the upsurge of business development in the region.
"We have the skills and the experience at our finger tips" said Bill Doherty.
Steve Stuart adds: "We need a channel to focus ideas and that's when we came up with the idea of The Sounding Board.
"It is designed to be a lot more than simply a Dragon's Den and I can assure entrepreneurs that we won't be breathing fire on them, quite the opposite. We want to encourage people to share their ideas, and build wealth."
Bill Doherty added: "This is an exciting opportunity to share best practice, learn from others and support people who can think outside the box. We also have a group of people who can add value by offering ideas and provide support to budding Bransons."
Steve Stuart, an old hand at being able to recognise a good deal when he sees it, has worked supporting small and medium sized businesses become bigger businesses over many years and is well known throughout the region as a 'shaker of trees'.
Both Bill Doherty and Steve Stuart are particularly passionate about Liverpool City Region and its people and believe the Capital of Culture is great for profile of the city and a real opportunity to develop the brand of Liverpool for years to come. The Board and its members can use this opportunity to capitalise on bringing the business community closer together across the North West Business Region.
