The steps school can take to be green
STEPS schools can take to do their bit for the environment include:
Using 100% recycled and chlorine-free paper – the use of chlorine to bleach paper releases toxics into the environment;
Set up a compost heap to turn food scraps into rich, healthy soil, which is ideal for gardening;
Switching off computers after use and removing screen savers.
