Legal hurdle means school faces lengthy wait to learn fate

IT COULD be years before the takeover fight is resolved.
If the Government decides to revise regulations surrounding religious designation of schools, it would need to run extensive consultation for at least 12 weeks.
To then proceed, it must draft revised legislation and seek advice from legal advisers and stakeholders.
This is set to be a lengthy process, with any legislation changes subject to painstaking scrutiny.
