A PUPIL who refused to let flooding keep her from school has been rewarded for her perfect attendance.
Melissa Lowry, nine, from Huyton’s Roby Park Primary School, received a new bike as a prize after she was entered into a draw as a reward for not missing a single day of schooling.
Her unblemished record comes despite the fact her home, in Huyton, was flooded twice during the last 18 months.
Despite this, her family made sure she made it to school on time. As well as the bike, Knowsley Council donated a helmet, bike lock and high visibility jacket.
