EVERTON Reserves crashed to an 88th minute goal at the Halton Stadium last night, after pulling back a two-goal deficit.
Nuno Valente enjoyed a 45-minute run-out while loan signing Anthony Gardner completed the full 90 minutes.
The Blues were rocked by two goals in the first 18 minutes, Daniel Braaten scoring against the run of play for Bolton then Kevin Wolze curling a superb free-kick past Jamie Jones.
Steven Morrison deservedly pulled Everton back into the game after 33 minutes.
Good approach play from Lewis Codling saw Morrison drive into the box.
His first shot was blocked but the midfielder made no mistake with his second effort.
Bolton should have made the game safe in the second half, but goalkeeper Jones saved Robert Sissons’ penalty kick.
And the miss looked crucial when Codling was brought down in the box and Morrison slotted home his second goal of the game.
But Bolton had the last laugh when Wolze’s 88th minute strike was cruelly deflected past Jones.
