Youngsters struggle in Premier Cup finals

EVERTON’S youngsters suffered two defeats on day one of the Premier Cup finals at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex.
The under-15 side lost 2-0 against Sao Paulo of Brazil yesterday morning, then lost to FC Basel of Switzerland by the same scoreline.
It means the youngsters are unlikely to reach the quarter-finals, and will need to win today’s two group games against Central United of New Zealand and Korean side Chunnam Dragons to have any chance of progressing.
