EVERTON defender Joseph Yobo is pleased with the progress midfielder Anderson de Silva has been making throughout pre-season.
The Brazilian played just two minutes in the Premier League last season after arriving at Goodison from Spain in January but Yobo reckons his new team-mate has made great strides in recent weeks.
He said: “Anderson is proving he is a good player and the goal against Bremen will give him confidence.
“It was tough when he came here last season but now he is more integrated in the squad. He is showing he is a tough player.”
With just one pre-season friendly remaining against Crystal Palace today, Yobo is counting down the days until the season begins.
He said: “I am feeling good and I can’t wait for the season to start. In pre-season there is a lot of emphasis on running but we are coming to the end now and playing more matches.”
