Everton’s new team

EVERTON FC has teamed up with the Toxteth Tigers to form a professional basketball team to compete in the British Basketball League for the 2007-08 season.

This is the first time Liverpool has hosted the sport at this level and coach Henry Mooney can’t wait, he said: “It’s a hugely exciting concept and we are hoping the people of Liverpool get right behind us.”

The Tigers will play at Greenbank Sports Academy, Liverpool, on Fridays at 8pm.
