Sunday best for Adam

EVERTON teenager Adam Davies has capped a rapid rise through the footballing ranks by being called up by England for the Victory Shield.

After joining teammate Jose Baxter in the squad for the under-16 tournament, Davies declared: “I couldn't believe it. I only signed for Everton 12 months ago from a Sunday League side.”
