David Moyes in the dark over UEFA Cup opposition

Everton manager David Moyes admits he is in the dark about their UEFA Cup opponents Brann Bergen.

The Toffees were paired with the Norwegian side in the round of 32 after progressing as winners of Group A.

However, Moyes admits he has little knowledge of the side who finished third in Group D behind Hamburg and Basel.

He said: “It is hard to tell whether it is a good or a bad draw. I don’t know a lot about them.

“Perhaps it could have been a lot worse. But they are the Norwegian champions, so if you look at it from that angle it is a difficult game.

“We will treat them with respect and look forward to the match.”

Everton progressed to the last 32 with a 100% record and Moyes added: “I have really enjoyed the competition.

“We have gained experience from the first games and have learned a lot. The players have adapted well.”
