Everton hire marketing firm to sell naimg rights for new stadium

EVERTON FC has signed up two Liverpool companies to help it find a name for the club’s planned new stadium.

Design and marketing agency Ampersand will team up with multi-media partner Mocha to promote the search for a naming partner for the Kirkby development.

The companies were shortlisted to pitch to Everton and AEG Worldwide after a nationwide tender. Ampersand and Mocha were informed of their success the same day the pitch took place.

Ampersand and Mocha will create a range of publicity and marketing materials.

Everton deputy chief executive Robert Elstone said: “The contract could have been won by an agency outside of Liverpool, but was awarded to a local company, which is recognition that the city’s creative pool of talent is booming during its Capital of Culture year.”

Ampersand managing director Emma Blackmore said: “Everton and AEG have given us a great opportunity to work on this exciting project that could see our designs and marketing collateral being used across the globe.”
