The 19-year-old has been at Everton since 2005 but despite being offered a new contract by the Merseyside outfit, has opted to help Cardiff in their bid for promotion to the top flight.

Former Everton Academy goalkeeper Jamie Jones is poised to sign for Leyton Orient next week.
The Kirkby-born player was released at the end of a one-year professional contract at Goodison Park, but is now set to move to the League One club on a two-year deal.
Yeovil had also shown an interest in signing the 19-year-old, who had made several appearances for Everton reserves.
Jones, a former pupil at Holy Angels primary school in Kirkby and then Cardinal Heenan in West Derby, had battled back from suffering a broken leg suffered as a 15-year-old in the semi-finals of the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.
A broken hand at the start of last season limited his appearances.
Meanwhile, Everton have confirmed a pre-season fixture with Swiss side FC Sion on July 12.
The match will be played at The Stade D’Octodure in Martigni and will come at the end of an intensive training camp in Switzerland.
The game will kick-off at 4pm.
It is the sixth pre-season fixture to be confirmed for David Moyes’s senior side, but will be the first competitive game played by the side.
