EVERTON manager David Moyes maintains that teenager Dan Gosling has a big future at the club.
Gosling 18, made his debut as a substitute in the 1-0 win at Middlesbrough on Boxing Day, and scored on his home debut against Sunderland.
He again came on as a substitute last weekend in the 1-0 FA Cup third-round win at Macclesfield.
Moyes said: “Dan has been terrific and he has got a lot going for him.
“Now we want to make sure he keeps progressing.
"We are going to try to give him time on the field to make sure that happens.
"We just hope he can keep developing.”
He added: “Dan is showing that he can help the team and make a difference, so that gives me confidence and belief in him.
“It is not just a young boy coming into the team. He is a player who can actually make an impact. That is a big thing for a young player to be able to do.
“He is a good lad, very level headed and he has a good work ethic about him.”
