Everton stadium inquiry resumes
THE inquiry into Everton FC and Tesco’s massive bid to revolutionise Kirkby will get underway again tomorrow.
The investigation being conducted by inspector Wendy Burden is expected to continue until January 30 and will involve evening sessions.
First to present his witness on behalf of Knowsley Council will be a noise expert. The Grange Residents Association has posed a series of detailed questions to previous witnesses and further probing questions are expected tomorrow.
Each side will also be handing in a set of simplified tables showing how the current economic downturn might affect "expenditure growth" in the proposed development.
Insp Burden asked for these statistics to be produced on the last day of proceedings before a three week Christmas break.
So far the inquiry has heard evidence from Knowsley chief executive Sheena Ramsey, Everton chief executive Robert Elstone and the main architects and retail experts behind Destination Kirkby.
