AFTER winning six Premiership titles, three FA Cups and the Champions League, the younger Neville brother made the switch down the East Lancs road from Manchester United to Everton in the summer of 2005.
Bringing a wealth of experience and versatility, Neville arrived for £3.5 million as Everton looked ahead to their first European adventure for 10 years.
He had the chance to make it in cricket with Lancashire Cricket Club but chose football and captained the Manchester United youth team as they won the FA Youth Cup in 1995.
Neville was part of the team that dominated the Premiership during the 1990's and has gone on to make 52 England appearances.
Capable of operating at full-back on the left or right and in midfield, Neville enjoyed a committed first campaign in blue, which saw him pick up 10 yellow cards and two reds, leading to a series of spells on the sidelines through suspension.
Although a consistent and experienced performer, he was somewhat unlucky to miss out on being named in Sven Goran Eriksson's squad for the World Cup in Germany in the summer of 2006.
As David Weir moved on from Everton, Phil Neville was able to excel in his role, gaining the captain's armband along the way. The 2006/7 season has also seen an international recall for Neville and he has featured regularly in McLaren's side.
Neville's contract keeps him at Everton until 2010.
