A CHOCOLATE and cheese pasty by any other name, this recipe serves two and makes a great treat for a special occasion as well as introducing the kids to the flavour of mascapone cheese.
Ingredients
1 packet frozen puff pastry
1 small jar Nutella
1 tub Mascapone or cream cheese
1 beaten egg
Method
1. Roll out the pastry, in a 30cm circle.
2. Spread a generous amount of Nutella in the centre of the pastry followed by a dollop of mascapone.
3. Brush the edge with beaten egg. Fold in half and seal with fingers. Pinch the edges to make a fluted pattern.
4. Brush all over surface with egg and place in oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. Dust with icing sugar.
