COOKING with pasta can be so much fun for children as it comes in so many varieties, shapes and sizes, and children love the simplicity and the texture of pasta.
Once you have mastered the art of cooking pasta properly, there are many many dishes to try.
This penne carbonara is easy to make, filling, and won’t challenge children’s tastebuds too much.
PENNE CARBONARA
Ingredients
125g penne pasta
6 dessert spoons of cream
4 oz pancetta lardons or diced smoked bacon
1 dessert spoon grated parmesan
1 dsp grated mozzarella.
Chopped parsley to garnish
Method
1. Cook the pasta in salted water.
2. Sauté off the bacon or pancetta, add six desserts spoon of cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
3. Add your cooked hot penne pasta to the cream mix, fold in a dessert spoon of grated parmesan, and one dessert spoon of grated mozzarella.
4. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
